Halloween plans, and an excuse to finally meet your neighbors

7. WinstonThere are pumpkin patches, crafts and games across the five boroughs. You can find something near home instead of planning a whole expedition.

9. WinstonOne still coming up: James Baldwin Plaza in the Bronx, on Halloween. The city's signature event is listed for 10 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.
10. AsherDaytime Halloween. You can admire the costumes and still get home before your own decorations start looking suspicious.
11. WinstonI like the small stuff. A pumpkin on the steps, somebody playing music, a reason to stop for a minute. That's enough of a plan for me.
